Bevey Louden
Bevey
Louden was born in East St. Louis, IL.
At the age of two, her family moved to Sparta, a small town in southern Illinois.
She is blessed with two wonderful God-fearing parents, Henry
and Geanette Wilson, who gave her seven sisters and six brothers.
As a child she attended the Church of God
in Christ, where her mother, Missionary Wilson, gave an anointed
word that caused sinners to give their lives to Christ.
With this strong conviction and witness, Bevey understood at
an early age what it meant to serve the Lord.
During her young teenage years she traveled with the church
choir to various prison ministry outreach services.
In 1991, she relocated to Springfield, IL
to pursue a new path on life.
She joined
Abundant Faith Christian
Center in 1994 and
immediately became active in the women’s ministry.
She was trained and licensed as a minister under the
leadership of Pastor Jerry Wayne Doss in 1996.
Since that time she has facilitated workshops and bible study
classes for several diverse groups.
Her commitment to serving those in need extends in the areas
of administration, counseling, self-development and education.
She has coordinated many retreats, youth activities and
special church functions as well as served as a guest facilitator
with her Pastor and Elders in providing leadership training to other
churches.
Bevey’s compassion for people causes her to surpass cultural, racial
and social boundaries.
With a sincere commitment to the Lord, she is motivated to see
success and victory in the lives of those who are at-risk.
She is an over comer of domestic violence and purposefully
uses her story to assist other victims in becoming victors through
proven successful methods including prevention.
Her community service includes participating in the City of
Springfield's Race Relations Task Force Study
Circles, as a middle school Volunteer Basketball Coach, and
Enterprise Council Board Member.
Bevey is married to
Lorenzo Louden.
Over the past 13 years, she served in ministry at
Abundant
Faith
Christian
Center. She is
well
respected in the community.
As the co-founder of Tower of Refuge, Inc.,
Bevey actively contributes to the successful reintegration of former
